EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTERS
ERCs are a place where students who are at risk of not finishing school on time, or at all, due to barriers such as balancing school, work and family can attend and earn their high school diplomas in a non-traditional school environment.

Nationally, our 25 ERCs in 12 states have a 90% graduation rate, and have enabled 7,091 students to obtain their high school diploma.  Since 1998, enrollment numbers have reached 19,757 in ERCs nationwide. During the 2009-2010 school year, ERCs served 3,359 students, and graduated 1,184 students at a 91% rate.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

SYF established two different scholarship programs in 2000, to support the academic endeavors of high school youth throughout the nation. These programs are the Community Scholarship Program and the Education Resource Center Scholarship Program.

Since May of 2000, SYF has helped 2,776 students from 42 states pursue their educational ambitions through monetary scholarships. To date, SYF has awarded $8.5 million in scholarships to deserving high school youth across the country!

All scholarship recipients are selected by a third-party administrator, Scholarship America Inc. Scholarships are based on financial need, academic performance, leadership skills, participation in school and community activities.
