What is the SYF Community Scholarship Program?
The SYF Community Scholarship Program seeks to meet the financial needs of promising students in communities that host Simon properties.

Who is eligible?
The SYF Community Scholarship Program is available to high school seniors living near a Simon property who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school. One-time scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,400.

In addition, four-year renewable Awards of Excellence are awarded in ten communities: Atlanta, Austin (new for 2011), Boston, Dallas, Indianapolis, MiamiNew York, Orange County, Orlando and Seattle/Tacoma (new for 2011). Each award is worth $2,500 per year.

How do I apply?
If you will graduate high school in 2011 and live near a Simon mall (http://www.simon.com/), the application will available October 15, 2010.

Selection procedures, as determined by Scholarship Management Services, include consideration of financial need, past academic performance and future potential, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and educational aspirations and goals and outside appraisals.
